Pay teachers what they deserve

I work with dozens of teachers every day, and nearly all of them are paid far less than they deserve. They are passionate about their jobs, work countless hours and then take work home, continue developing professionally for the good of the children they teach, and take on a wide variety of roles every day (caregiver, educator, social scientist, researcher, psychologist). We risk losing the best of them if we don't find a way to make their salaries commensurate with their level of expertise and the demands of their job.

I'm sorry but I know teachers (in Germany as well as the US) who are paid far more than what they deserve...
