This is one of the most important parts of For A Better America. Read what other users have written, reply to their Thoughts, and if you have something new to say, create your own Thought here. This is your opportunity to tell people how you feel about this idea, and more importantly, to tell them why you feel that way.

Recycling at hotels — Last reply 5 months ago
Have you ever noticed when you're at a hotel that there isn't a place to put your recyclables so you probably put your soda cans, water bottles, etc. in the regular garbage cans? Imagine all that wasteful garbage. I'd like to start a letter writing campaign to major hotel chains to add recycling bins on each floor of the hotel so guests can recycle.

Do not use plastic shopping bags. — Last reply 5 months ago
There are tons of little pieces of plastic floating in the world's oceans that are consumed by marine life in large and often deadly quantities.
Easy ways to stop contributing to this waste are to use canvas or other reusable shopping bags, to refill a water bottle, or even better, use a Nalgene, and, silly as it may sound, to carry re-usable silverware with you when you're going to eat somewhere you know has plastic utensils.
