The problem is--and I like Mike Huckabee a lot... I quote him in the About Us page of the site!!!--that he's far to much of an extremist. I understand a lot of his positions, but others, just make no sense to me. I called his office a few weeks ago, actually, to ask about the death penalty. Mike Huckabee gave the best defense of banning abortion I've ever heard by talking about how much we "value life" in our society, not particularly for its value but just because it is a life. I don't understand at all how that fits with his position on the death penalty (which he is for).
Huckabee seems like a nice guy, and I love the horizontal vs. vertical plane stuff, but the presidency is no place for someone as extreme as him regardless of their specific ideology.
