This has been generally known for a while, but after watching Nightly News tonight I was, frankly, quite shocked. Russian journalists and dissidents are being put in punitive mental hospitals for their criticisms of the government and Vladimir Putin.
As the world's largest symbol for The Freedom of Speech, I believe that more Americans need to be aware of world events and the suppression of our fellow journalists and people.
