croberts on Learn a foreign language

I'll admit that I no longer know the Spanish I used to, but I think that we should have to learn at least one foreign language in school. Most of us here starting learning another language in middle school, but Europe starts much younger. I think we need to recognize that in order to communicate with the rest of the world, we too should make the effort to learn another language and not just assume that everyone's going to learn English. That assumption is arrogant and you'll miss out on the culture behind the language.
