John Coleman wants to sue Al Gore for fraud. Coleman, who founded the Weather Channel in 1982, thinks taking legal action against Al Gore would be a great “vehicle to finally put some light on the fraud of global warming.” Coleman rejects the notion that people must take drastic actions to reduce their energy use. Speaking at the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change on Monday, Coleman sharply chastised those who further global warming alarmism. Coleman believes that the station he founded has been captured by alarmists, such as the Weather Channel’s Heidi Cullen, who has advocated revoking the license of meteorologists that believe global warming can be explained by cyclical weather patterns and not human activity.

This is outrageous. How can any meteorologist claim that global warming isn’t real? The evidence is overwhelming. It may be drastic, but I agree with Heidi Cullen on this- take away their licenses.

Hmm. This is very interesting. I really want to hear Mr. Coleman’s argument(s) on the matter. I think most people (including myself) have come to the conclusion that carbon emissions contribute to climate changes. I’m sure that Coleman is well educated in weather phenomenon based on his background and I’d like to see how he’s arrived at such a radical point of view.

I don’t think suing Al Gore is the best method of getting his point across. Making a movie entitle “The Convenient Truth” or “The Inconvenient Lie” would serve as a better “vehicle” and he’d probably make a ton of money from it (like Al did on his movie). Speaking of which: how much of Al’s fortune from his movie has been spent to help the environment? 100%. Logically, Coleman should donate 100% of his profits to destroying the environment… /sarcasm
